How this site handles data, cookies, and your choices.
This is a personal journal, not a commercial product. The only data collected is anonymous, first-party analytics — used to understand which pages are read and how the site performs. Specifically: page views, repeat-visit counts (via a random visitor ID, not tied to your name or email), the page you arrived from, how far you scroll, time on a page, photo zooms, and outbound link clicks. Your screen size is recorded to improve layout. No names, emails, or precise locations are collected, and nothing is ever sold or shared with third parties.
The site sets a single first-party cookie to count repeat visits and to remember your analytics choice. There are no advertising cookies and no cross-site trackers. Analytics are on by default (auto opt-in); you may opt out at any time using the control below, and your choice is saved on this device.
Under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA) and similar laws, you can opt out of this site's analytics. This site does not sell or share personal information, but you can still switch analytics off entirely:

The opt-out works without JavaScript-based tracking and takes effect immediately. Because the preference is stored in a cookie, you'll need to set it again on each browser or device, or if you clear cookies.
